...let us walk in the light of the Lord. Isaiah 2:5

A new year has begun for the women of CWF. An abundance of opportunities await any woman of the church who is interested in joining this ministry group.

For those able to attend our monthly meetings, CWF offers a wonderful time of fellowship and study of the Word. We invite anyone who is able to join us on the second Wednesday of the month.

Monthly meetings are not the only outlet available for women wanting to participate. One of the purposes of CWF is to provide opportunities for creative ministries to the women of the church. To this end, many women contrbute their time and talent to a variety of CWF events and service projects.

CWF members are actively engaged in sewing projects, hosting birthday parties for seniors in health-care facilities, providing food for church bereavement dinners, providing set up of communion for the weekly worship service and arranging flowers for the sanctuary display. Annual events include Thanksgiving meal to benefit area seniors and preparing and delivering Christmas cookie plates to shut-ins.

If you are interested in learning more about CWF or opportunities to serve, please contact Jean Arn at 324-3689 or Michelle at the church office. Copies of the 2007 - 2008 booklet are available in the foyer.

In June, CWF prepared and served meals to campers at Flaming Spirit Church Camp. A special thanks is due Ron Arn and Bob Dunn who provided their grilling expertise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The next CWF meeting will be held at 9:30am on Wednesday, July 11th. We will be discussing Chapter 7 of "The Purpose Driven Church." Roberta Schneider will be hostess.

One final note-please remember the Best Choice Bar Code project. This is a simple way for CWF to make money for various service projects. See Dawn Blair for details or to donate bar codes.
